Discussion:
Consuming 2 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil once a day is better than taking anti-anxiety or depression medications

'Virgin' coconut oil? Is a full moon required, too? (Cheap joke.)

Meanwhile, though, there's opinion like this:

Coconut oil’s image has gotten a makeover in recent years, and many
natural food stores stock the product. But despite “a lot of hype about
it,” said Dr. Alice H. Lichtenstein, a Tufts University professor of
nutrition science and policy who is vice chair of the federal
government’s dietary guidelines advisory committee, “there’s virtually
no data to support the hype.”

And the history of health miracles in general isn't illustrious...

This is just one persons experience but might help someone out there. In the latest edition of Reader's Digest a woman wrote in a comment that she suffered from anxiety attacks for years. Her doctors had her try every likely medication with no relief. Then 3 years ago she switched her diet to vegan. Not a single attack of anxiety since.
Of course everyone responds differently but it might be worth trying.

Non-Vegan to Vegan. Did her inositol intake change upwards or did her insulin resistance decrease? A vegan diet includes many possible diets, some better and some worse, IMO.

Presently I'm using coconut oil in my baking of oatmeal based foods.
